Information About Austin Ogletree:
Austin Ogletree is a rising junior at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University from Barnesville, Georgia. While attending A&T, Ogletree has been actively involved and he now serves as the Student Body President.
Austin most recently served as an Emerging Leader delegate for the US: China Cultural Exchange as a part of a White House Initiative on international study. This 3-week emersion program sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF), allowed him and 19 other undergraduate STEM scholars to travel to Beijing, Hangzhou, and Shanghai, China to represent the United States abroad. International travel has inspired him to promote an Aggie brand that extends far beyond the undergraduate experience.
Austin was most recently selected from a national applicant pool of 450 to serve as a 2015 HCBU All-Star Ambassador for the White House Initiative on HBCUs. After graduating from A&T in May 2017, he then plans to enter the management consulting industry and public policy. After a few years of work experience, Ogletree intends to obtain a dual-degree of Master’s in Business and Public Administration. Needless to say, he will leverage the experiences and knowledge gained to achieve greater feats in American Education reform.
